Week 6: Unexpected complementary work

In the last week's meeting, it was established that a new expert, Luis Gomes would be brought into the challenge. Therefore, the team was hoping to start the week by meeting with both experts (Zita Vale and Luis Gomes) in order to get feedback on the work that had already been developed as well as suggestions going forward.

In reality, scheduling a meeting were both experts could be present turned out to be a mission in of itself and the meeting was delayed to Friday. The team adapted by switching the focus to complementary tasks, such has creating a scaffold user interface, normalizing the data structure of each module and raising the foundations of the interactions between modules. This turned out to be a good solution, as in the meeting it was easier to communicate our vision to the experts as well as hearing their feedback on what was to be expected from the system. Nonetheless, we will be more attentive when scheduling our meetings.

Moving into the final week, we have two main objectives:

• Writing an article about the state of the art of Community Energy Management Systems

• Finishing our very own Community Energy Management solution.
