Week 4: First presentation

The main objective of this week was to make the knowledge acquisition report and the first presentation where the problem and the solution of the project were exposed. For this, the team met once again with Professor Zita Vale to validate the flowchart developed after the last session and obtain feedback on the presentation that would take place. The professor also provided some articles to help the team obtain more knowledge.

In the course unit of ENGCIA, we discussed about how to implement uncertainty in the particular case of our project, having reach the conclusion that fuzzy logic could be applied to determine if the market price its higher or lower, according to its history, and the certainty theorem could be applied to energy production and consumption values. In the theoretical classes we learned about fuzzy logic and truth management systems.

In the course unit of PPROGIA, we learned about optimizition in CLP and global restrictions for escalation and placement problems, by making use of functions like minimize and cumulative.
