Week 17&18: The start of a new project...

The first semester have finished and the second one is starting and now we have a new project in our hands as well as new chairs.

For this project we have to use Deep Neural Netwroks combined with Natural Language, so, after talking to the teachers, we decided to create a chatbot for the energy community to use. It can be used either by the Community Manager and the consumers. The idea is for the bot to help the community in any needs while integrating with the other software created by us. For the Community Manager the chatbot will be able to:

• ask for forecast (prices, market, consumption, production, etc) in a specific period of time;

• ask for energy optimization in a given period of time;

• ask for the financial balance of the community for a given period of time ;

• ask for information about each community participant (flexibility, consumption, production, batteries, electric cars, etc) ;

• ask for the participants feedback about the energy management.

And for the community's participants:

• ask for suggestions about buying a solar panel, electric car...;

• ask for suggestions about energy optimization (change lamps, manage devices inside the house, etc);

• give feed back about the energy management;

• ask for the financial balance at a given period of time;

• ask for the community manger's plan for his/her house.

This is our initial plan. It can suffer some changes through the project.

About the chairs, we are having Natural Language and Machine Learning II. In Natural Languege we are learning about the first techniques created to interpret human language. In Machine Learning II we are studying how the neurons of a deep neural network work.
